Our Flight School
Flight training is conducted primarily under FAR Part 61. We use the Cessna/King Schools syllabi for the private, instrument.
A typical flight lesson goes about two hours. You will arrive at the airport and meet with your instructor for a preflight briefing which will go 10-15 minutes, fly the airplane for around an hour and a half, then conduct a post-flight debriefing of another 10-15 minutes.
We have a staff of knowledgeable flight instructors with various aviation experience backgrounds to help you achieve your goals. You will primarily work with one instructor, but our programs are designed to allow you to work with any instructor as necessary to most expeditiously continue your training.
We have seven different aircraft perfectly suited for all stages of flight training. From the Cessna 150 for initial training and time-building to the Beech Baron for the multiengine rating, you’ll find the aircraft you need here. Our aircraft are impeccably maintained in-house by our maintenance staff to ensure your safety. All aircraft (Except Cessna 150), are equipped with Garmin GTN 650 or 750, and Bluetooth capable for traffic and weather on ForeFlight or Garmin Pilot. GPS databases are kept current, and VOR logs are provided in each airplane to ensure they are always ready and legal for any flight you make. All aircraft are ADS-B compliant.
For more information and pictures of our aircraft, see Our Fleet page.
You can take an introductory flight to get your feet wet or you can jump right into your first lesson. On an intro flight, you will sit in the pilot’s seat and go up with an instructor for a 45 minute flight around the -local area. During this time you will get to control the airplane and see how a typical flight lesson goes.
